Road Trip Guide: The Capital to Culture Route
Experience the best of English and French Canada on this unforgettable 10 to 14-day loop. Your journey begins at our Ottawa depot, where you will pick up your home-on-wheels and head east into La Belle Province (Quebec). This route is world-famous for its blend of colonial history, vibrant culinary scenes, and breathtaking river landscapes.
By traveling in an RV, you aren't just visiting these cities; you are sleeping on their doorsteps. Quebec offers a fantastic network of campsites (Campings) that range from luxury resorts with pools to quiet riverside spots in National Parks. This itinerary minimizes long driving days, allowing you to spend more time exploring and less time behind the wheel.

Detailed Itinerary Highlights:
-
Days 1-2: Ottawa & Montebello: After pickup, drive east to Montebello. Visit Omega Park, a drive-through wildlife safari where you can feed elk and deer right from your RV window. It is a hit with kids and adults alike.
-
Days 3-5: Montreal: Park your RV at a campground on the South Shore (like Camping Alouette) and take the bus/metro into the city. Explore Old Montreal, walk up Mount Royal, and enjoy a bagel in the Mile End.
-
Days 6-8: Quebec City: The crown jewel. Stay at a KOA near the city and take the shuttle to Old Quebec. Walk the fortified walls, visit the Château Frontenac, and eat Poutine. It feels like being in Europe, but with a unique Canadian twist.
-
Days 9-11: Tadoussac & The Fjords: Drive north along the St. Lawrence River to Tadoussac. This is one of the best places in the world to see whales (Belugas, Minkes, and Humpbacks) from the shore or a zodiac boat. The Saguenay Fjord offers dramatic cliffs and incredible hiking.
-
Days 12-14: Return via The Eastern Townships: Drive back through the rolling hills and vineyards of the Eastern Townships or the Laurentian Mountains, stopping at Mont Tremblant for a final night of camping before returning to Ottawa.
